Best Western India recently tied-up with the Vedic Village Spa Resort of Kolkata, making it the first Best Western Premier hotel in India. Best Western ‘Premier’ is a high end luxury branding from Best Western given exclusively to unique properties with distinctive features. The four-year-old Medical spa resort is a ‘Spa Lexicon’ which offers both Naturopathy and Ayurvedic medical treatments, as well as provides luxury accommodation in unique ‘Earth Villa’ environment. Talking about the unique ambience and offerings of the property, Michael Robertson, Executive Director, Vedic Resorts and Hotels, Kolkata, said that the resort is built principally on the Bengali architecture in Shantiniketan village style. The resort has ‘Earth Villas’, with roof made up of thatch, and walls made of mud. Moreover, Vedic Village is the only spa resort that offers both naturopathy and Ayurveda treatments. “We have highly specialised doctors in both the categories. We have a specialist naturopathy doctor from Goldcoast, Australia, to provide western naturopathy treatments,” added Robertson.
