Chandigarh: The UT Consumer Forum has penalised Omaxe Limited, a construction company, in Sector 8-C, Chandigarh for failing to pay the assured monthly return of Rs 5,400 that was to begin upon receipt of Rs12,76,070 for a flat purchased by a client. Vivek Jain, resident of Chandigarh Sector 40, bought a flat with super area of 963-sq ft in the housing group project ‘Omaxe turning dreams into reality’ in 2007, that was to be completed within 18 months, but for which he has not been given possession.
