‘Builder licence transfer rule bound to promote corruption’

GURGAON: The recent proposal to charge levy on the transfer of the licence of a builder to another person for developing the projects will promote corruption and is detrimental to flat owners according to activists and observers. The proposed policy paves the way for shady land transfers in which any developer can transfer the licence while selling his land after paying 10% of the total licence charges as fee to the state government.
