Farmhouse scam: Authority ex-chairman to be probed

NOIDA: The Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta will examine the role of former chairman of Noida Authority Mohinder Singh regarding alleged irregularities in allotment of plots in the farmhouse scheme. Besides, the role of the then industrial development commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, V K Sharma, will also be probed as part of the ongoing inquiry process. Both officials have been asked to appear before the Lokayukta in the second week of January. Examination of these officials would be conducted by the Lokayukta to determine the ‘legal justifications’ with the board of Noida Authority to give the go-ahead for the launch of the farmhouse scheme.
