More FSI likely for industrial units

PUNE: Industrial units outside the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) areas may get floor space index (FSI) on the lines of units in the MIDC areas. Chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Saturday said the state would consider demands for such additional FSI in a positive manner. Chavan was speaking to reporters after meeting industrialists and businessmen from the city at the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture. He said the state has proposed additional FSI of 0.5 for industrial units in the MIDC areas and would consider offering a similar relaxation to industries outside MIDC industrial estates.
