Longest flyover project may be scrapped

The longest flyover project of the Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) — to provide a signal-free ride between Rajiv Chowk and Mahavir Chowk in the city — may be scrapped. A high-level meeting was held between MCG engineers and RITES officials on Tuesday wherein they discussed the project’s feasibility. The core agenda of the meeting was whether the flyover, to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 250 crore, would provide a signal-free drive on the stretch.
