‘Indicted’ by CBI in land scam, Faridkot DC moves court

Tribune News Service Chandigarh, February 28 Faridkot Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat today moved the Punjab and Haryana High Court, alleging that he has been indicted by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) without being heard in its inquiry in the Bathinda land scam. In an application, Bhagat sought High Court’s permission to be impleaded as a party in the case for being heard before initiation of proceedings against him. Taking up the matter, the Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri today issued notice to the CBI and fixed April 23 as the next date of hearing.
