The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG), which has been facing staff crunch for the past several years, may have failed to get some big-ticket assignments due to shortage of experts. According to officials, the Haryana government is considering roping in the Public Works Department (PWD) to execute the construction of a Rs. 100-crore flyover at MDI Chowk. The project which includes the construction of an underpass and an elevated corridor along the existing Mehrauli Road was proposed by the civic body in order to ease traffic congestion in Old Gurgaon area. MCG commissioner Ashok Sangwan is soon to hold a meeting with PWD officials to discuss the MDI Chowk flyover
