Hero Honda Chowk revamp hits hurdle

The National Highway Authority of India’s proposal to construct a Japanese model flyover through a high-rise to end traffic mess at Hero Honda Chowk has not gone down well with an influential citizen’s group. The NHAI had proposed the execution of a plan to branch out the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway into three-four elevated stretches inside a building and merge them through cloverleaf roads. But the members of Hero Honda Chowk Sangharsh Samiti (HHCSS) have opposed the plan, saying that the structure could take years to be built and commuters will continue to suffer.
