Assembly walkout over city land allotment to Rajiv trust

GURGAON/CHANDIGARH: Opposition MLAs on Wednesday staged a walkout from the Haryana assembly after the Speaker refused to allow discussion on the lease of panchayat land to the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust at Ullahwas in Gurgaon district. Immediately after question hour, Opposition MLAs demanded a discussion on the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report slamming the state government for alleged undue favours given to the trust. INLD MLA Rampal Majra demanded that the government give a statement on the matter while leader of the BJP legislative group, Anil Vij, demanded a judicial inquiry into it.
