Builder firm staffer booked in Rs 16cr cheating case

MUMBAI: A Borivli-based construction firm’s employee has been booked in a Rs 16.2 crore cheating case by the Kasturba Marg police. The accused, Sanjay Singh, duped the general manager of a Kolkata-based construction company by forging documents of two properties in Mumbai. Singh got in touch with the complainant, Arunkumar Jain (32), and made an offer to procure two SRA plots in Thane and Aarey Colony. According to the agreement between Singh and Jain, after procurement of both properties, they would be jointly developed by the two construction firms.
