NMC to appoint agency to approve building plans online

NASHIK: The Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) is planning to appoint a private agency to create an online approval system for building construction plans on Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis. At present, the process of approving the building plan is done by the town planning department of the municipal corporations in the state. However, the process ends up getting delayed by three to six months, and sometimes even more. As per the rules, building plans must be approved within 40 days, but the same does not happen in practice, thereby causing delays in the project.
